Fédération Internationale de Hockey (FIH)

During 1986, the FIH initiated discussions with a number of leading test laboratories around the world, including CST, with the aim of introducing a performance Specification for synthetic turf products and facilities suitable for top International competitions. As a result of this collaborative exercise, their ‘Handbook of Requirements for Synthetic Hockey Surfaces - Outdoor' was published in July 1987.

At the same time, they established a network of FIH formally accredited test laboratories, six in total, around the world. CST was the sole UK-based laboratory to be so accredited and remains so today.

We are pleased to have played a significant role in the adoption and continuing operation of the FIH approval scheme for synthetic turf products and facilities.
